Academic Dr Caroline West suggests that working more than four to six hours a day will increase anxiety, exhaustion and deterioration in the quality of life.

A NATION OF TRADERS?

Is Australia becoming a nation of traders?

Australians are increasingly looking for other ways to increase their income and to work "smarter". For many who have had work in established industries the concept of earning money from trading is a revelation. No longer does one have to lease a building, hire staff and advertise a product to earn an income.

The past few years have seen Australians become a world leader in share market investment. According to a recent survey 55% of adult Australians now include shares in their portfolio, the highest level of retail share ownership in the world (ASX, 2005).

This interest in the share market and trading has meant that many have also applied their skills to similar pursuits that may complement their interests in shares, and involves participation in foreign exchange trading (Forex) futures as well as offshore investing.

While there are many systems and approaches to successful trading some common principles can be applied across successful trading systems.

To be in the top 5% of investors Warren Buffett (a leading share market investor) says, " To invest successfully over a lifetime does not require a stratospheric I.Q, unusual business insights, or inside information. What's needed is a sound framework for making decisions and the ability to keep emotions from corroding the framework".

A trading plan can provide you with the framework that you need to succeed in the trading field. Money is made as a by product of following a sound trading plan, and following the principles of money management. If you end up losing a significant amount of trading capital due to greed and ignorance you can no longer trade and are out of the game.

Have a Heart Breakfast


 

The 'Have a Heart' Networking Group held the first of its monthly breakfast meetings on the 17th of August.

 

The networking group is a non-pressured monthly event where members are able to take on advice and support from fellow leaders in all sectors of the business community.


This month's guest speaker was Michael Toon. Michael is Patron of HeartKids QLD, an Olympic bronze medallist and a HeartKid himself.  Michael shared his experiences as a HeartKid and inspired all with his incredible heart journey!!!

             TriLogics

Over the last 5 months, Intervest has placed the full weight of our software development team behind the design, implementation and distribution of our new software package called 'TriLogics'.

TriLogics utilises many technologies which have previously been unavailable and we are now proud to say that Intervest has 'Set the Standard' once again with TriLogics. This has been achieved by listening to the people that really matter, you the client.

Some of the features of the program that you will enjoy are a new modern look and feel, faster download and upload and some original ideas designed to enhance the overall user friendliness. "There is no limit to the opportunities in life and the things we achieve - just limited thinking", says Matthew Whyatt Founder and Sales Director of Intervest. Here at Intervest Global we all strongly believe this and that's why as a company we are constantly striving to provide our clients with the latest and most profitable software solutions  available anywhere.

What is TriLogics?

TriLogics is not a patch or add-on.  The development team were given a strict mandate - to totally write from scratch a software package using the formulas that have proven successful and make it look and feel like a windows program that is familiar to computer users everywhere.

What has changed?

TriLogics includes the following major upgrades and changes:

. Money Gaps are now indicated as a number that shows the actual size of the money gap and allows for better decision making. A large money gap shows a more defined separation in investment than a smaller one.

. More venues can be selected; you are not just restricted to six as before, this allows for more betting options in a day. This eliminates the need to make a decision as to which venue to eliminate if more than six are available at any given time.

. There is no limit to the number of money gaps. This creates more division between runner groups.

. Now able to run history and live at the same time.

. Speed of placing a bet is increased and now allows you to load new events without interrupting present races being tracked.

(Please note that all the changes and upgrades are not mentioned above only the major changes and upgrades.)

What should I expect and do you have any advice?

Expect Only the Best!

Racing is about numbers - cash flows remain consistent while horses, trainers and jockeys (form) will change. With the new upgrade we have made everything easier and more effective for you. Incidentally, most of our clients would not know the back end from the front end of a horse, have never visited the track or even been to a TAB. All that doesn't matter as the program does everything for you. All you have to do is stay calm and in control when placing bets, maintaining a controlled attitude and sticking to the guidelines.

When can I expect to receive TriLogics?

Over the last couple of weeks we have had a select few trialling TriLogics. Based on their feedback and experience with TriLogics so far, we are very confident that the program not only works but is providing our clients with all the things that you told us you wanted and more.

Over the next month we will be sending the new program out to 100 clients per week, this will enable us as a company to handle and manage any enquiries that you may have with the program and also manage training of the new program in an orderly fashion.

Has there been any feedback on the new program as yet?

The feedback so far has been GREAT! Actually it has been better than expected, even the release process has gone smoother than we initially thought it would be. As far as we can tell from responses to the program our clients who have TriLogics are overwhelmed with the effort we have put into producing this new software and couldn't be happier with the end result.

There has been 1 hiccup that was amended the same day as it was recognised, but everything has gone very well.much to our technical supports relief.
