General News

Welcome everyone, to the first edition of our monthly newsletter.  We hope you will find this informative and fun and will enjoy reading up on the latest news at Intervest!

The dynamic business entity that is Intervest Global has grown from a fledgling enterprise, originally the brainchild of Matthew and Terri Whyatt, and represents the realisation of a dream for this young couple!

Matthew and Terri created Cheetah Software in February 1999 to market his inspired software concept, which applied technical trading formulas to analyse the enormous cash flow generated by the TAB.

An amalgam of the vision and energy of a young couple dedicated to achievement, and the considerable business acumen of Dick Aronson in business partnership has seen the business change name, and enjoy enormous growth and diversification to this point. With the IGL program remaining as the flagship product, expansion initiatives are taking place, reflecting the specific Company involvement in Sales, Marketing and IT development.

The Company's continuing success is based on an unwavering commitment by management and staff to providing the highest standard of product and service to its valued clients, in a friendly, fun-loving work environment.

Quote of the month

Enjoy the journey

In the words of Winston Churchill "Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb".

Profiles

Name: Don & Sandy Hosking

Age:   54 & 58

No. of Years with IGL:  7 years

Don and Sandy have been with IGL for 7 years and have been demonstrating the program for the past 6 years. They were the first clients to purchase the IGL system in South Australia.

Introduction

Don and I have been very happily married for 30 years, have raised two lovely girls, who are both married and have given us an adorable granddaughter. Don worked with a Fastener Company for 28 years starting off as a salesman working his way to Manager before his job was made redundant due to a takeover five years ago. I  worked in admin before having our children and staying at home to raise them but was then offered part time work where Don worked. Don has now retired and loves it; he is busy with his interest in woodwork and has made several items over the years and is currently making a toy box for Sabrina (our beautiful granddaughter). We enjoy traveling, have traveled to Asia a few times but now have a caravan and enjoy touring around and have already planned a few trips for the near future. I enjoy gardening, scrap-booking and also reading when time allows.

How long have you been using IGL system and what has it meant for you?

We first purchased the then Cheetah Program back in 1999. With the support of IGL staff we were confidently running the program within months.  The money made from Intervest has allowed us to travel overseas, and enjoy a good lifestyle. In the early days when Don was still working I would run it some days if I needed to buy something, but now Dons runs the program while I am the "secretary".

Why did you buy the IGL program?

Don was looking for a change as things were "difficult" at work so by chance I noticed an ad in the paper made a few enquiries and from then on we haven't looked back. The IGL system has provided us with the flexibility to work from home which gives us the choice of when and how long we run the program (as we aren't home a lot these days). In the beginning when deciding whether to purchase or not the staff at IGL were willing to provide as much information as we needed.

What do you see the IGL program as, what do others think of what you do?

The program has provided a simple way to make a living in our home when we want to either everyday or a couple of days a week, but there are times when Don misses out so he simply turns it off and goes to do woodwork. One of our friends has seen it running many times but won't believe that it wins needless to say he looses most of the time and Don comes out in front. Our youngest daughter Belinda has been involved with answering calls and meeting people as well so she reckons Dad is doing an "excellent job".

How have you found the extra contact with IGL being a demonstration agent?

Being a Demo agent has been interesting over the years as you get to meet people from all walks of life, and we have had met many people who will occasionally  bring a gift of wine etc., the demo takes around an hour sometimes you have to spend longer, Suzi our dog isn't too keen on people invading her territory but she settles down eventually.

What is your biggest achievement, what are you most proud of?

Our biggest achievement would probably be our present home, as we designed it and built it ourselves, sub contracted out so many sleepless nights were had getting it right and seeing it being built. The girls were involved and enjoyed helping out we have been in our home 19 years and our very proud of it. We are most proud of our girls- to see them being born, growing up over the years and developing into young women. Amanda the eldest is a hairdresser, she married Daniel in November 2003 and they have a gorgeous daughter Sabrina who is nearly one. Belinda works in retail and married Jason in March this year.

Any final comments or things you would like to add?

We have been fortunate over the years to have each other, our wonderful girls and grand-daughter, our many friends who we catch up with and the friends we have made through Cheetah in the early days and now IGL. We are privileged that you asked us to write about "us" hoping that gives you an insight of Don and Sandy, so thank you and keep up the excellent work you all do.

Intervest Global would like to thank Don and Sandy for being the first clients to feature in our monthly newsletter. Your loyalty and hard work has benefited everyone at IGL in some way or another. We look forward to working with you both in the future.
