Spring Carnival Season

Spring is the start of carnival season with the feature event being the Melbourne Cup. Many horses are starting their spring/summer campaign and are attracted to good racing conditions and the possibilities of large winnings.

The racing industry is a large industry in Australia and New Zealand, in the top 5 businesses in Australia, and supports a large industry of trainers, grounds people, transportation suppliers, feedstock suppliers and vets among others. It is estimated to have a turnover of $20 billion, and directly and indirectly employs 250,000 people in Australia (University of Queensland, 2006).

It is also a long established industry and has a large interest across the Australian and New Zealand population. It has been estimated that 80% of Australian adults will place a bet on a horse or greyhound race each year, with the Melbourne Cup having major appeal for a one off bet, and with much enthusiasm being generated in the home and workplace. Many of TriLogics customers are new to the racing industry, so an event such as the Melbourne Cup allows newly trained customers to look at an event such as this from a new perspective and to approach betting with new insight.

This carnival kicks off a long series of events right through the summer and those who have been using the TriLogics program sporadically should be looking to maximise their time with the program over the next six months. One feature of the program that has received good feedback is the ability now to go to unlimited venues, and to maximise opportunities on big race days. In the past the limit of six venues restricted some venues being shown, but this no longer applies and will bring benefits to users of TriLogics.

Don't Quit

"When things go wrong as they sometimes will
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill.
When funds are low and the debts are high.
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit.
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns.
As everyone of us sometimes learns.
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out:

Don't give up though the pace seems slow -
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out -
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt.

And you never can tell how close you are.
It may be near when it seems so far:
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit
It's when things seem worst that you must not QUIT.

Profile

Name: Ken Jensen

Age:    43

No. of Years with IGL:  5 Months

Kerry my wife of 22 years and family have lived in Kalgoorlie WA for the past 6 years, before that we lived in North Queensland most of our lives. We have four children and are now grandparents much to our delight. My daughter will have married by the time this goes to print, my son is a second year apprentice and I am so proud of him I could burst, and the two other girls are just full throttle all the time.

Obsessions (I don't have interests, only obsessions) include spear fishing- a strange sport to follow in Kalgoorlie (4 hours from the coast) but we make the trek regularly in summer and the kids love it as much as I do.

I have done many things for a living in my life, electrician, marine, underground, surface, sales, real estate, Army, security, own business, company manager and a counsellor to the mining industry in Western Australia.

I decided to put my career on hold in order to support my wife in her pursuit of a professional nursing career. I have become an almost fulltime domestic engineer and adventure holiday director for my kids and I absolutely love it. The clients of my counselling business interrupt the above occasionally. I have always been looking for ways to work smarter instead of harder and longer. As a result, I have looked at a number of racing industry based programs none of which delivered anywhere near what they promised.

Enter IGL, after dealing with other racing industry companies over the years; I immediately noticed IGL was different. They publicly post their results, and did something other companies do not do- they let me talk to other clients who have had the program for sometime letting me hear first hand about the company, the program and experiences with each.

I have been with IGL only four months and I would love to say that it has been smooth sailing and I am enjoying making money from my investment. Unfortunately, this has not been the case for me. The first couple of weeks I made $3000 profit Wow! Then it all went terribly wrong for me. I think after that I made every mistake you can make with this program and it has cost me money. I have had to come to terms with a number of things.

. Greed: wanting too much too soon and then trading profits into losses.

. Acquiring the ability to accept a loss and not try to take revenge on the system.

. Thinking I could do better than the system I was trained in, what I call "going off the reservation".

In spite of the rough trot I have had to date, I am still confident that my situation will turn around. I know what this program is capable of when operated in a business like manner. Unfortunately, being a risk taker at heart has worked against me and my struggle has been much more about character flaws than flaws in the program.

Why have I not cut my losses and quit?

The reason I am still in the game and have not given up has been due the dedicated people that work at IGL, all the support staff, from the trainers to the IT, administration and customer relations and their commitment to clients- (even pains in the rear like me) is something I have never experienced before from any company. How many companies do you know would ask for a profile on a new non-profitable client?

I have experienced a lot of training from a number of other companies in the same industry over the years, when you call them (if you can call them) about things going wrong they do not want to know you. I have never had the extended unlimited lifetime commitment to my success that I have received from IGL. Even when I wanted to give up on myself my trainer has encouraged, cajoled, counselled, even threatened me (lovingly) and then warmly congratulate me when I get it right.

I will persevere with this program because I believe it can give me both income and lifestyle by allowing me to work smart from home. In time, I hope to become an IGL demonstrator because I do like the industry, working with people, the way IGL does business, and it would signify me getting over the hump with this thing and becoming profitable.

I believe my greatest achievements are yet to come but so far, my greatest achievement was to work on saving my marriage 10 years ago and to have it on track to the point where I now help other marriages through the things I have learned.

The thing I am most proud is a thing you cannot buy and that is my family both individually, I am proud of the job I have done and am doing as a dad & grandad.

What would I like to see happen in the future with IGL? One thing would be for me to make enough money to be able to fly over to the Gold Coast and buy my poor old trainer a beer. Second, I would like to see the IGL program supported on a foundation of fast, reliable, multi TAB data supply. I believe with that achieved IGL would have no other peers in the industry, not just in the area of client support but also in the area of technology.

I hope that I will be able to add an update to this letter in 6 to 12 months time reporting that I have weathered the storm and am making regular profits from the program.
